It’s been a while since we posted … but unfortunately we’ve been so busy in between both our jobs and traveling time and other life commitments that we had to take a short hiatus! But thankfully, WE’RE BACK YALL :) Our most recent adventure was a caribbean cruise onboard the Norwegian Escape. For those of you who don’t know, we’re HUGE fans of cruises and have been on more than you can count on two hands. The ship was amazing … but that part is for a whole other post. On the cruise we landed at three different stops … St. Thomas, Tortola, and Nassau.
Here’s a quick run down of what we did at each of the stops!
1.) St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands:At this location we went zip lining up in the trees. It was raining heavily that day and throughout almost our entire time ziplining. We have been zip lining before but that was only over the ocean and just one single zipline. On this course there were about 8 of varying lengths and in various areas down the mountain. It was an amazing experience to say the least and we would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone considering it!
2.) Tortola, British Virgin Islands: Here we visited The Baths at Virgin Gorda. As you guys can see in the video, it’s basically a whole bunch of gigantic boulders that you have to climb up and crawl through and navigate your way around. Eventually you also come to an open area with a huge beach where you can swim and relax if you choose to. Just seeing this place and the natural beauty of it all is an amazing adventure to experience. Our only complaint is that it is very crowded and you really are wandering through the baths with plenty of other people instead of in seclusion, as I know many of you prefer.
3.) Nassau, Bahamas: We decided to visit Atlantis and take the tour to see what all the fuss around this place was about. We did not go on any of the slides, but did wander through the pool area. We also saw the multiple aquariums, the shops, the casino, the lobby area, and some parts inside of the hotel. We will definitely address the hotel and complete grounds in a separate post, but we all agreed that it was something to see … if only once! Although, at The Baths my GoPro broke when someone dropped me into the water where I slammed my GoPro into the rocks and sand and I wasn’t able to get any footage of Atlantis. R.I.P GoPro :(
We will be sure to make a few more in depth posts about each of the locations as time permits. This was just our quick run down and overview of each of the locations we had a pleasure to visit and explore on our latest trip. So make sure to check back frequently as we will soon have more posts about things and will be sure to add more information to even this post!
